Our dinner meal plan

Made it to day 12 on the #21DSD so our following meal plans is for 2 weeks (less thinking the following week) So I work now and don’t have to do it every week and saves me time and works better that way!

So for the 14 day meal plan below the first 7 days are #21DSD friendly (level 1) as hubby and I are still following it till the 21 days. We’re still going strong and have yet to have a drop of sugar!! Crazy how motivated we are. As it’s been such a short time yet we’ve seen such positives about this program that it actually works!

For each meal that I post I will paste the link beside it. Please note if there are any natural sugars in the first 7 recipes I do omit it just because it’s not aloud in the 21DSD plan. I’m starting with baby steps to feed our kids this way to. I have one boy oldest who has embraced the shepherds pie (cauliflower on top) the little guy not so much a fan but he will be introduced to it again in do time he will like it over the mashed potatoes.

There are some of our favorites that we enjoyed over the past 12 days and they will for sure be rotated on the following meal plans that worked great for us. And we found BREAD I’ll post the bread recipe that I made . It was nice to have a tuna sandwich for lunch rather then wrap it up in lettuce. If you’d some lunch suggestions just comment below and I’ll post a few.

Tuesday: Cilantro and Lime Shrimp with Broccoli Salad ~ Day 16

Sunday: Clam Chowder ~ Day 21
Monday: steak with asparagus wrapped in prosciutto *no recipe* it’s simple as it sounds! We’re done #21DSD
Tuesday: Meatloaf with avocado salad
Wednesday: Eggplant pizza with spicy green beans (for the bolognese sauce I use the homemade pizza sauce from the pizza recipe)
Thursday: Cobb salad
Friday: Shrimp Scampi
Saturday: Honey apple pork loin with side veggies
Sunday: Buffalo Chicken Alfredo with sweet potatoes

21 Day Sugar Detox ~ Day 2

Wow! Made it to the end of day 2. Hip Hip Hooray! laughing … So far I’m feeling wonderful. I don’t feel tired, or foggy.  For the past two days I have been eating real food. This 21DSD is awesome! I forget how I crossed paths with this info regarding this program but I knew it appealed to me and I wanted to do it.

Why? Why would someone want to do this? Well for my own personal reasons I have 3 wonderful children 2 boys and a baby girl who just turned 4 months on the 5th of January. She’s a sweet pea and my boys are my luv bugs. After having her I felt weighed down, tired and thought how am I going to kick start myself “healthy” with 3 kids I don’t have time for GYM, but I do have time for meal planning and TV exercise. This is my personal goal for 2014.  I know that the 21DSD will work for me because once I put my heart and soul into something there is no backing out. I’m hard headed like that and like to prove haters wrong and like to prove to myself Yes You CAN! (it’s the little lady attitude that I keep in my head when I feel like I’m going to fail)

So Day ONE: OMG NO SUGAR ekKKK my one liner was “I THINK I CAN … I THINK I CAN” that’s what got me though the day! I can do the NO SUGAR!! Let’s do it so my meals for the day where!

~Breakfast: 1 green tipped banana & 2 eggs (pancake) I added some flax seed & pure vanilla extract my pancake turned out good being the first time EVER following this recipe!

~Lunch: some tuna, black olives, celery salad (no mayo) with some lettuce, cherry tomatoes a few bites of cheese and 3 hot pickles and some almonds.

~Snack: avocado with balsamic vinegar & pepper

~Dinner: Yummy best ever meat loaf with some carrots

And of course I had water & black coffee to drink during the day. I only drink 2 coffee a day one in the am and one in the pm and the rest of the day is WATER .

After day 1 during the night I was feeling great! no issues went to sleep and felt great not hungry at all and no real “sugar carvings” I THINK I CAN I THINK I CAN Worked!

Day 2 on the 21DSD my one liner motivation for today was “FLIP THAT NUMBER TO 3”  was a crazy morning because I had to get my son off to school and make lunches and breakfast as they are not doing the detox so they are still getting carbs (for now) once the morning rush was over I was able to make my own breakfast and was looking for to it as I woke up hungry. I drank a glass of water to get me though the morning rush.

~Breakfast: 1 red grapefruit cut in half with sprinkled cinnamon and baked in the oven for 15 min at 375. and 1 hard boiled egg.

~Lunch: veggie omelette & cheese

~Snack: Cocoa Smoothie & green apple with cinnamon

~Dinner: stuffed chicken thigh with cheese and wrapped in bacon with a side of roasted parmesan broccoli

after lunch today I was craving something sweet so bad and because we did not do groceries due to a snow storm and only doing them tomorrow I had to think quick what do I have that I can use to stop this craving so I thought quick before I caved. It was the first time I got this urge that came over me. Felt like it was going to win but I said NOPE I’m BOSS not you Miss Craving! so I made the cocoa smoothie and it was delish!!

here is what I used in a pinch!

Cocoa Smoothie:

1 cup ice
1 cup cold black coffee
1/2 cup coconut milk
1 tsp vanilla extract (pure)
2 tbsp. cocoa
1 green tip banana

BLEND and ENJOY!! 🙂 takes that sweet craving away.  It will taste bland at first but trust me it will kick that sweet tooth in the butt! ENJOY!!

So after talking with my husband who’s also on board with this 21DSD I asked him how he was feeling and he said great. I’ve started to do 20min work-outs in my basement watching video though the Smart TV Samsung app I have goals on there to so when I do get an urge to eat something sweet like SUGAR I work-out and it gets me to the next hour or over that craving. It’s an evil battle to go though sugar withdrawls but I tell you. I feel more energy, more awake, and not heavy, foggy or tired. Who can say that with a 5 year old 4 year old and a 4 month old! That old saying “We are what we eat” after this 21DSD I plan on sticking with paleo and say buy buy to carbs and sugar! It’s really not that hard if you are willing to change your life style and eating habits. I can’t stop my children right now cold turkey like hubby and I however I will slowly introduce them into the world of eating real food! 19 more days to go Day 3 is around the corner!
